Jonathan Aranda's RBI single in the eighth inning capped a late rally for the Bowling Green Hot Rods, who made it five straight wins with a 4-3 win at Lansing (Mich.) on Saturday.

Lansing (36-42 overall, 4-5 second half) built a 3-0 lead after two innings off BG starter Shane Baz, but the Hot Rods rallied to score the final four runs and take the series opener in Lansing.

Seaver Whalen and Jordan Qsar had two hits each for Bowling Green (46-33, 7-2), while Izzy Wilson had a game-tying two run homer in the seventh.

Cristofer Sanchez allowed one hit over three shutout innings to earn the win and improve to 2-1 on the season.

The series continues at 12:05 p.m. CDT Sunday. Right-hander Sean Wymer (3-6, 6.95) is scheduled to start for the Lugnuts. The Hot Rods starter has yet to be announced.
