Some of the top teams across the state are scheduled to take part in the German American Bank Shootout on Saturday.

The shootout will feature four boys’ games and three girls’ games.

The boy’s games will take place at Bowling Green High School, with the girls’ games taking place at Bowling Green Junior High School.

On the boys’ side, the shootout kicks off with Greenwood (10-2) facing Region 3 power Owensboro (10-3) at 3:30 p.m. Owensboro is ranked No. 1 in Region 3, according to the KHSAA RPI.

Barren County (7-6) is scheduled to face Oldham County (10-5) at 5 p.m., with Louisville Central (4-8) facing Franklin County (5-8) at 6 p.m.

Host Bowling Green (10-3) will wrap up play on the boys’ side against Louisville Western (13-2) at 8 p.m. Louisville Western enters with a six-game win streak, including a King of the Smokies championship last week.

On the girls’ side, Logan County (13-3) will face Caverna (3-9) at 2:30 p.m. Bullitt East (14-1), ranked No. 2 in the latest AP statewide poll, is scheduled to face Bethlehem (6-5) at 4:30 p.m.

Bowling Green (9-3) will wrap up play on the girls’ side, facing Louisville Butler (2-9) at 6:30 p.m.
