CAVE CITY The Rev. Lenard Stice, 79, of Cave City died March 13, 2001, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.The Edmonson County native was a state-registered sanitarian, a state dairy inspector, a World War II Coast Guard veteran who served as a specialist third class, an ordained Baptist minister who served at Silent Grove Baptist Church and Lawrence Chapel. He was a son of the late Lester Stice and Bertha Crump Stice.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, minister and first Sunday school superintendent, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation is in progress until 9 p.m. Thursday and will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel and will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.Survivors include his wife, Geneva Pauline Neville Stice; two sons, Barry Stice of Brownsville and Shane Stice of Cave City; three daughters, Brenda Cooper and Pat Minor, both of Cave City, and Lydia Carey of Glasgow; two brothers, Raymon Stice of Louisville and Leo Stice of Brownsville; a sister, Noma Houchin of Brownsville; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
