GLASGOW Thomas Richard Powell, 77, of Glasgow died March 3, 2005, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

The Barren County native was a retired dairy farmer and had been a member of the Barren County FFA Alumni Chapter. He was a member and deacon at Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was a son of the late Paul H. Powell and Fannie Williams Powell and the husband of the late Lois McDonald Powell. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include four sons, Brett Thomas Powell and his wife, Sherry, Richard David Powell, Mark Alan Powell and his wife, Kim, and Timothy Glenn Powell, all of Glasgow; four grandsons, Curadhan Shea Powell, Joshua David Powell, Jesse Alan Powell and Mark Alexander Powell; two granddaughters, Meagan Brittany Powell and Mikayla Ashton Powell; a brother, Wesley Powell of Glasgow; three sisters, Anna Lee and her husband, Billy, of Cave City, Emma Laura Childress of Lamb and Jeanette Furlong and her husband, Carroll, of Glasgow.
