The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Portions of central Kentucky including all of south central Kentucky.

* Until 845 PM CST Monday /945 PM EST Monday/.

* At 855 AM CST /955 AM EST/, widespread flooding continues across
the warned area. Numerous roads remain closed due to high water.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bowling Green, Richmond, Liberty, Danville, Glasgow,
Campbellsville, Russellville, Lebanon, Columbia and Scottsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Barren River at Bowling Green.
* From this afternoon to Tuesday evening.
* At 7:45 AM CST Monday the stage was 27.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this afternoon to
30.6 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 14.4 feet and begin rising
again Thursday evening. It will rise to 14.9 feet early Saturday
morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Parks begin to flood. Most of Thomas
Landing and Weldon Peete Park flood.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Boat Landing Road is impassable.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.9
feet on 02/25/2019.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 6:45 AM CST Monday was 27.7 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.8 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Trails at Phil Moore Park flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.6
feet on 02/24/2019.

* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:00 AM CST Monday was 34.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 39.5 feet
just after midnight tonight.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet, KY 403 at James McKinney Bridge floods.
Water overflows lock wall.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Several county roads flood near Woodbury.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet, Low spots on North and South Church Streets
in Woodbury flood.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, Old Ferry River Road in Aberdeen floods.
* Impact...At 36.0 feet, Many parts of Woodbury flood.
* Impact...At 38.0 feet, KY 403 between James McKinney bridge and
Three Tile Lane floods. US 231 south of Sawmill Road in Morgantown
floods.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet, US 231 at Russellville Road and the William
Natcher Parkway interchange floods. Morgantown High School is
cutoff.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet, Water approaches KY 403 on opposite side of
town near levy. Travel is difficult into town.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 39.2
feet on 05/21/1983.
